India to organize NuGen Mobility summit 2019 in November

NEW DELHI, April 3 (Xinhua) -- India's International center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) will organize a NuGen Mobility summit 2019 in November this year, officials said Wednesday.

The heavy industries and public enterprises ministry said the summit would be held at Manesar, falling in the national capital region (NCR) of Indian capital - New Delhi from November 27 to 29.

"The objective of the summit is to share new ideas, learnings, global experiences, innovations and future technology trends for faster adoption, assimilation and development of advanced automotive technologies for a smarter and greener future," a statement issued by the heavy industries and public enterprises ministry said. "This event will help in building a platform for bringing together all stakeholders in the automotive industry to understand global advancements in technologies."

According to ministry, officials more than 2,500 participants and over 250 exhibitors are expected to take part in the summit.

"Experts working with leading international scientific and research organisations and testing laboratories from various countries like the United States, Europe, Japan and other Asian countries will also participate in the event and share their experiences and knowledge on development of smart and green technologies and the challenges that the industry needs to overcome," the statement said.

"The event aims to bring together the automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEMs), professionals, researchers, academic experts, vehicle system suppliers, test equipment supplier, quality managers, product planners, component developers, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) members and students from all over the world."

ICAT Manesar is a leading world class automotive testing, certification and research and development service provider under the aegis of the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRIP), the government of India.
