SINGAPORE, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore maintained its top position among 15 leading maritime capitals around the world, according to the Leading Maritime Capitals report for 2019.
It was followed by Hamburg, Rotterdam, China's Hong Kong and London. China's eastern city of Shanghai ranks sixth.
The report, released by Menon Economics on Wednesday at the Sea Asia conference, said despite a somewhat weak trade cycle of traditional shipping and offshore oil and gas markets has not recovered, Singapore retained its lead in shipping, ports and logistics, as well as attractiveness and competitiveness.
It added that London is number one among the 15 cities in maritime finance and law, while Oslo clinched the top spot in maritime technology.
