SOFIA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian law enforcement authorities on Thursday seized 25.43 kg of cocaine in the Black Sea near the Sunny Day resort, the country's Prosecutor's Office said in a statement on Friday.

The illicit drug was put into a sack attached to a life jacket, similarly to the 169 kg of cocaine that were found on Tuesday in the sea some 70 km northeast of there, the statement said.

The cocaine was of extremely high purity, ranging from 77.57 percent to 90.59 percent, and its value on the black market would amount to 4.03 million U.S. dollars, it said.

At the end of March, the Romanian police seized over 1,000 kg of cocaine in an overturned boat and in its surrounding waters near the beach of Sf. Gheorghe, the southernmost estuary of the Danube.
