ATHENS, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Greek political leaders strongly condemned on Sunday the multiple bomb attacks at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka which claimed over 200 lives, expressing solidarity with all those affected.

The Greek ambassador in New Delhi, who is also non-resident ambassador to Sri Lanka, conveyed to Sri Lanka authorities the "utter abhorrence" of Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos for the blasts which occurred on Easter Sunday, read an e-mailed press release issued by the Greek President's office.

"There are no words to condemn the blind hatred of terrorist attacks... Our thoughts are with the loved ones of people who lost their lives," Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in a message posted on his Twitter account.

"(We are) profoundly shocked by appalling attacks. Greece condemns in the strongest terms these heinous acts of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected," the Greek Foreign Ministry also tweeted.
