WASHINGTON, May 7 (Xinhua) -- A shooting has killed three U.S. soldiers in the U.S. state of Virginia, in what appears to be a double homicide and a suicide, local police said late Monday.
Local police said all three victims of the late night shooting on Saturday were active service members in the U.S. Navy.
Two women, 19-year-old Shianne Soles and 23-year-old Meaghan Burns, were shot to death at a local convenience store, while in a nearby parking lot a man, 22-year-old Donavon Moora, died from what appeared to have been a self-inflicted gunshot.
Moora was believed to have killed the two women before killing himself.
Soles and Burns were stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, while Moora was stationed at Camp LeJeune in the nearby state of North Carolina.
