COLOMBO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- At least 20 people including three children were injured when a private bus crashed into a parked container truck in Ratnapura in south central Sri Lanka on Friday, the police said.
The bus was carrying a group of passengers from Matara, in southern Sri Lanka, who were returning home after attending a wedding in Avissawella on the outskirts of the capital.
The wounded included 11 women and three children. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital by residents in the area.
Police said the driver of the bus had been arrested.
Further investigations are ongoing.
