U.S. crude oil refinery inputs increase last week: EIA

HOUSTON, May 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil refinery inputs increased during the week ending May 24, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Thursday.

U.S. crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.8 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, 189,000 b/d more than the previous week's average. Refineries operated at 91.2 percent of their operable capacity last week.

Gasoline production and distillate fuel production both decreased last week, averaging 9.9 million b/d and 5.2 million b/d, respectively.

Total products supplied over the last four-week period averaged 20.3 million b/d, down by 2.0 percent from the same period last year.

Over the past four weeks, motor gasoline product supplied averaged 9.5 million b/d, down by 2.2 percent from the same period last year.

Distillate fuel product supplied averaged 4.0 million b/d over the past four weeks, down by 2.6 percent from the same period last year. Jet fuel product supplied was up 2.9 percent compared with the same four-week period last year.
