MAPUTO, June 13 (Xinhua) -- A group of military officers of Mozambique's main opposition Renamo on Wednesday announced a movement against their leader Ossufo Momade and a boycott of the party's disarmament process.

Mariano Chissinga, a military commander of the party, was quoted by the national radio station as saying that the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration process is vicious and not inclusive, and they are disappointed with their leader.

Chissinga accused Momade of choosing his friends who are not even in the military to obtain power in the disarmament process.

"He killed our brigadier, he shall have an answer," Chissanga added. "All Mozambicans should hear this, we no longer have any pact with Ossufo."

According the general, Renamo's "commandos" will choose a new leader on July 10 or 15, and they will not accept disarmament and demobilization while Momade remains in position.
