KAKAMEGA, Kenya, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and six others injured in a road accident along Webuye-Eldoret highway in western Kenya, officials said on Saturday.

Kakamega county commander Bernard Muli said the accident that happened on Friday 11:30 p.m. local time involved a matatu, a trailer and a motorcyclist.

Muli said the motorcycle rider attempted to overtake the trailer when he collided head on with the incoming public service vehicle locally known as matatus.
