Dollar changes hands in lower 108 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, July 1 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 108-yen range early Monday in Tokyo, up from its levels in New York late last week.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.37-38 yen, compared with 107.90-108.00 yen in New York, and 107.63-65 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Friday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched at 1.1360-1360 dollars and 123.12-16 yen against 1.1363-1373 dollars and 122.64-74 yen in New York, and 1.1387-1388 dollars and 122.56-60 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
