LUSAKA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A delegation from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce is expected to visit Zambia to explore local investment opportunities in the tourism sector, a Zambian government official said Thursday.

The delegation, which will arrive in the country on July 8, is expected to hold meetings with various government departments and the private sector to explore investment opportunities, said Zambia's Minister of Tourism and Arts Charles Banda.

Zambia welcomes more Spanish investors to tap into the southern African country's tourism sector, Banda said.

The minister said he received a courtesy call on Thursday morning from Spanish Council Honorary Representative to Zambia Ramon Diaz Bustamante, in which Bustamante said his country is willing to develop its relationship with Zambia and share its experience on tourism with the southern African country.

The Spanish government plans to bring a high-level delegation of directors from the Spanish National Parks to come and share experiences with their Zambian counterparts, Bustamante said.

The upcoming visit will also involve the training of directors from Zambia's Department of National Parks, Bustamante added.
