RABAT, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A total of four Moroccan people were killed and a French national seriously injured in a car accident on Wednesday near the city of Agadir in southern Morocco.
The accident occurred when a car deviated and plunged down a hill in Taghazout near Agadir, said local media Le360.
The car was heading to the city of Essaouira on the Atlantic.
The French national who was driving the car, was seriously injured, it added.
Deadly road accidents are common in Morocco, often caused by high speed, bad condition of roads and reckless driving.
According to official statistics released recently, a total of 1,357 people were killed in road accidents in Morocco in the first four months of 2019, up 10 percent from a year ago.
