DHAKA, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will reshuffle her cabinet on Saturday for the second time in recent months.

The country's Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam made the announcement on Thursday in Dhaka.

He said State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad will be elevated to the rank of minister while Fazilatunnesa Indira, a leader of Hasina's ruling Bangladesh Awami League party, will be inducted as a new state minister.

"The new members of the cabinet are expected to take oath on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. (local time)," he said but did not elaborate.

The changes are the second cabinet reshuffle in seven months since Prime Minister Hasina formed the government for the third straight term.

Hasina's cabinet saw a major reshuffle on May 19 just five months into her third straight term in office since January 2009.
