SYDNEY, July 16 (Xinhua) -- To celebrate World Snake Day on Tuesday, the Australian Reptile Park has weighed and measured three of its biggest slithery serpents.

On show for the crowd was Nikki Minaj - an anaconda who weighed in at 35 kg and measured 3.9 meters long.

Fluffy the Burmese Python tipped the scales at 49 kg and 4.49 meters in length, while Monster the giant reticulated python weighed a whopping 61 kg, measuring 5.53 meters.

According to Daniel Rumsey, the Head of Reptiles at the conservation park, 70 km north of Sydney, it takes many experienced staff to safely perform the health checks on the super large snakes, especially for Monster, who has bitten reptile handlers in the past.

"We're really happy with the results for each of them," he said.

"They have all grown nicely in weight and size and are all very healthy snakes and it never gets old seeing everyone surprised at just how incredibly large these amazing guys are. Previously, Monster weighed in at 57 kg and has gained a healthy 4 kg."

Although the day is all about fun and a big thrill for visitors at the zoo, it's vitally important for staff to keep track of how fast the snake's are growing.

"Reptiles are unlike mammals and show very little sign of sickness - so it's crucial we keep track of their length and weight."

"It was so much fun to get them all out together for everyone to see, it truly was the battle of the giants!"
