LONDON, July 25 (Xinhua) -- English Premier League club Everton revealed details Thursday night of its proposed new stadium on the Liverpool waterfront, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The club said it proposes to build a new stadium which would be built on semi-derelict dockland and deliver a billion pound boost to the city's economy.

Images of the stadium were revealed by architect Dan Meis at an event for Everton fans held in a former warehouse just yards from the proposed Bramley-Moore Dock site which is part of a wider Liverpool Waters development.

The stadium is made up of four distinctive stands including a large steep home stand to the south that will house 13,000 Evertonians on matchdays. Supporters will be as close to the action as regulations permit as the club seeks to capture and amplify the intensity and intimacy of Goodison Park in this modern arena.

Everton FC plan to submit detailed proposals to the local planning authority before the end of this year.

But concerns have been raised by the Unesco World Heritage Committee about the impact a football stadium might have on a World Heritage Site.

Liverpool risks losing the status next year unless the city can prove waterside developments pose no threat to the integrity of the WHS.

It will mean the club leaving its home of more than a century, Goodison Park in the heart of Liverpool's Everton district.
