ULAN BATOR, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga will pay an official visit to the United States from July 29 to August 3 to boost bilateral ties, the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday.

During his visit, Battulga is expected to hold talks with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump on ways to further deepen bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries, the ministry said in a statement.

"The visit will focus on strengthening bilateral ties between Mongolia and the United States in a wide range of areas such as trade, investment and security," it said.

This will be Battulga's first visit to the United States since becoming president in July 2017.
