HICKSTEAD, Britain, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Team Sweden claimed the second victory in two weeks after claiming the title of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Britain at Hickstead on Friday.

Sweden, who won at the home leg in Falsterbo two weeks ago, completed on just four faults without having to call up anchorman Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (Oak Grove's Carlyle).

Both Angelie von Essen (Luikan K) and Peder Fredricson (Zacramento) impressed the crowd with double-clear performances and their single error was made by pathfinder Fredrik Jonsson (Cold Play).

"It has been a fantastic year in the Nations Cup so far," Henrik Ankarcrona, Chef d'Equipe Team Sweden. "I was told yesterday that Sweden has never won here in Hickstead, so I said let's do it."

Ireland finished second on eight faults and Italy was third on a total of nine.

The defending series champions from Belgium finished fourth (16 faults), United States was fifth (20 faults) and Brazil and Germany were separated by time when both completed with 21 faults on the board.

Britain finished last (28 faults) of the eight competing nations, hampered by elimination for a first-round fall at the intimidating Hickstead water fence for their opening partnership of Amanda Derbyshire and Roulette BH.

With only the last leg of the Europe Division 1 series left to go, at Dublin in two weeks' time, Britain now have a lot to do to qualify amongst the top seven nations that will make the cut to the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona in October.

Amanda, 31, was rushed to a nearby hospital in Brighton to be checked over.

"Amanda is all good, just a superficial injury to her face," said Hickstead's Edward Bunn later. "The horse had an x-ray and nothing special was found and he is now being transported to the closest clinic to be observed."
