Prince Rachid of Morocco to attend funeral of Tunisian president

RABAT, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Prince Moulay Rachid, brother of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, will represent his country at the funeral of late Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, who passed away on Thursday.

According to official news agency MAP, Prince Rachid arrived Saturday morning in Tunis heading an official delegation to attend the national funeral ceremony which will be held for Essebsi later.

Moroccan King Mohammed VI on Thursday extended condolences to Tunisian Parliament Speaker Mohamed Ennaceur over the death of Essebsi at the age of 92, describing him as one of the great men of Tunisia.
