YANGON, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized 762 kg of ICE worth over 19 billion kyats (12.67 million U.S. dollars) in Myanmar's Shan state, according to the commander-in-chief of Defense Services Office on Monday.
A total of 38 bags filled with ICE were confiscated from a car on Keng Tung- Taunggyi road in Mong Ping township on Sunday afternoon.
On the same day, 220 grams of heroin and 5,700 stimulant tablets were also seized from temporary tents in Namhkan township, Shan state, said a release from the Home Affairs Ministry.
Five suspects were charged in connection with the two cases under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
Meanwhile, a total of 168,800 WY stimulant tablets were confiscated from Bahan and Sanchaung townships of Yangon region and three suspects were charged in connection with the case, the ministry's release added.
