TUNIS, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia's Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) announced on Tuesday rules for the campaigns of the presidential election, scheduled for Sept. 15, as published at the country's official gazette.
The ISIE stressed the need to respect campaigning rules, including neutrality by the administration, places of worship and the national media.
The election-organizing body, among several points, prohibited advocacy of hatred, violence, intolerance or discrimination on the basis of religion, race or sex.
Candidates must refrain in their meetings from any speech that would destabilize public order or morals or include incitement to an action described as a crime or offence, the ISIE stressed.
It said it has the authority to cancel the results of the winners if it detects their violation of the rules of the electoral period.
