DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Tanzanian President John Magufuli on Friday expressed sorrow following the passing of Zimbabwe's former President Robert Mugabe, saying Africa has lost one of its brave leaders.
"I have received with sadness the news of the death of the retired president and founding father of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe," Magufuli posted on Twitter.
He added: "Africa has lost one of her brave leaders who resisted colonialism with actions."
Zimbabwe's former leader Robert Mugabe has died at the age of 95. He was ousted in a military coup in 2017 after 37 years in power.
