KHARTOUM, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Sudan government on Tuesday announced 10 priorities to be implemented during the first 200 days of the transitional government period.

Chaired by Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, Sudan's transitional cabinet on Tuesday held its first meeting after taking the constitutional oath on Sunday.

"During the first 200 days, the government will work to implement 10 priorities," Faisal Mohamed Saleh, Sudan's information minister and government spokesman, said at a press conference.

"The priorities include stopping the war, building peace, addressing the economic crisis, cancelling freedoms restricting laws, enhancing women's rights, reforming state institutions, setting up balanced external policy, enhancing social care and development, enhancing role of youth, preparing for the constitutional conference and fighting corruption," he elaborated.

He further said that the council of ministers has asked each ministry to make an appropriate action plan to work on the first 200 days.

On Sunday, members of Sudan's transitional cabinet took the constitutional oath in front of the chairman of the sovereignty council Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.

The cabinet is Sudan's first since the ouster of former President Omar al-Bashir in April.
