NEW DELHI, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- India's Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed in an agricultural field in the southern state of Karnataka, an official statement said on Tuesday.
The incident took place early Tuesday in an open field in Jodichikkenahalli, Chitradurga district of Karnataka.
DRDO tweeted, "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) being developed by DRDO on experimental flight trial in new configuration has crash-landed in fields near Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) Chitradurga. Data is being analysed."
No casualties were reported at the site of the incident.
DRDO is charged with Indian military's research and development, headquartered in New Delhi.
