NAIROBI, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- A mix of African and Chinese culture and excellent performances was keeping the audience in a high mood during a cultural event sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Kenya.

The 27th edition of the Koroga Festival that featured performing arts including music, dance as well as fashion show and food was held over the weekend in Kenyan capital Nairobi.

Aptly named after the Swahili word meaning "mix", the festival is usually a celebration of African music, food, art and fashion brought in the form of a concert and an open boutique market, organized by Kenya's Capital FM Group.

The performances during the festival saw a mix of Chinese cultural songs, fashion dances as well as African Afro-pop performances.

The Koroga Festival is a great reflection of Kenya's brilliant and diverse local talent, whilst also attracting leading artists from all over the world through music, fashion, food, and arts.
