WARSAW, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Polish driver Robert Kubica, who is leaving Williams Racing at the end of the season, may stay in F1 as Haas and Racing Point want to hire him as a test driver.

However, the Pole still hesitates. Before the season, Kubica made one of the most spectacular comeback in the history of sport, showing that impossible is nothing.

Signing a contract with Williams Racing, the driver came back to the paddock after eight years. Unfortunately his return turned into the nightmare, as the Pole, same like his teammate George Russell, is not able to rivalise with the others, mainly due to Williams technical problems with a car. Kubica has scored just one point so far.

Few days ago the driver announced that he would be leaving Williams at the end of this year. However, according to the Polish paper 'Przeglad Sportowy', there is still a chance that Kubica will stay in F1 as Haas consider hiring him as a test and simulator driver.

"I would like to work with him. He has a lot of experience and a wide knowledge. Our engineers have a huge respect for him, but I don't know his plans," the boss of the team, Gunter Steiner was quoted as saying by 'Przeglad Sportowy'.

Another option for Kubica is Racing Point. The representatives of the team arrived to Poland to start talks, but the Pole hasn't made the decision yet.

Kubica's sponsor, PKN Orlen, still want to invest in F1, what seems to be crucial for the driver's future. As 'Przeglad Sportowy' claim, Polish company may become a titular sponsor of Haas for 2020.
