ISTANBUL, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on successful stories of Chinese enterprises in Istanbul and a seminar on China-Turkey economic and cultural cooperation were held here Wednesday to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, PowerChina, Huawei, China Railway and other Chinese enterprises, while displaying their contributions to China's development, their business cultures, and their economic and social integrations with local communities, had business exchanges and talks with Turkish businessmen.

The seminar touched on the prospect of practical cooperation, with focus on the opportunities for Turkey brought about by China's development, the integration of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative with the "Middle Corridor" plan of Turkey, the potential of bilateral economic and cultural exchanges, and financial cooperation and innovation.

The event drew about 300 participants, including Cui Wei, Chinese consul general in Istanbul, Hulya Kaya, deputy governor of Istanbul, Zafer Sonmez, managing director of the Turkey Wealth Fund, and Ronnie C. Chan, chairman of The Better Hong Kong Foundation.

The huge achievements made by China over the past seven decades were presented by a mixture of photo exhibition, product show, cultural performances and panel discussions.
