BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) on Thursday made public nine cases in which lawyers and law firms were punished for violating industry regulations.
A total of nine lawyers and one law firm were punished for misconduct such as offering bribes, interfering with cases, accepting cases or charging fees in violation of regulations, and failing to fulfill their duties, according to the association.
The ACLA also publicized six typical cases concerning the protection of lawyers' rights.
Jiang Min, the ACLA spokesperson, said that the association would continue paying attention to general problems reflected in the typical cases to further protect lawyers' rights and regulate the development of the industry.
