WINDHOEK, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Former World Boxing Association (WBA) light-weight champion Paulus 'Hitman' Moses has no regret joining African Connection (AC) Boxing Academy this month from Nestor 'Sunshine' Tobias Boxing and Fitness Academy.
After spending 17-years, winning numerous International, Inter-Continental, African titles and the WBA title in 2009 with Sunshine, Moses jumped ship to join AC Boxing Academy that is owned by his young sibling Immanuel 'Imms' Moses.
His first fight under AC Boxing Academy landed in defeat to Adlan Abduraahidov on September 19 for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Silver Super-Light title held in Russia.
"I have no regret at all. I joined AC because I needed a new challenge. I have no grudges towards Sunshine as I really enjoyed my time there," Moses told Xinhua on Friday in an interview.
The fight against Abdurashidov was his return to boxing after announcing his retirement from boxing last year when he lost to Emnanuel Tagoe in Ghana.
Moses, 41, has fought 46 times, winning 40 and losing six since turning professional in 2002.
"I still believe that I can win titles because I missed boxing and I just cannot live without it," said Moses.
