COPENHAGEN, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Denmark will host the 2024 World Cycling Championship at the Ballerup Super Arena in Greater Copenhagen, Danish Cycling Union (DCU) announced here on Friday.
"It is the biggest thing you can get in track sports. It is the second-largest crown jewel after the Road Championships, so we are super happy that it comes to Denmark," Henrik Jess Jensen, President of the DCU told Denmark's TV 2 Sports News.
The decision of the International Bicycle Union (UCI) was made public during a press conference in Harrogate, England on Friday.
