THE HAGUE, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Ajax and PSV continued to dominate the Dutch Eredivisie with wins over FC Groningen (2-0) and PEC Zwolle (4-0) respectively in the eighth match round of the Eredivisie, but AZ still keep the track of the two Dutch giants after this weekend's matches.

PSV had no difficulties at PEC in Zwolle on Sunday and continued its good form in recent weeks. Pablo Rosario opened the scoring in the 39th minute and after half-time Eredivisie topscorer Donyell Malen secured the victory with his eighth goal of the season, and substitutes Ritsu Doan and Erick Gutierrez added late goals: 4-0.

On Saturday Ajax left it late against FC Groningen. After FC Groningen player Django Warmerdam got his second yellow card for delaying the game Ajax finally scored. Lisandro Martinez scored with a shot in the corner in the 76th and three minutes later substitute Klaas-Jan Huntelaar tipped in the second goal on an assist by Donny van de Beek.

AZ kept the track of Ajax and PSV with a 2-0 win over Heracles Almelo on Sunday. The team from Alkmaar dominated the first half without finding the net. In the second half Teun Koopmeiners converted a penalty and Calvin Stengs made it 2-0 in the final minutes. Both Ajax and PSV now are on twenty points after eight match rounds in the Eredivisie, followed on one point by AZ.

Vitesse beat bottom side RKC 2-1 in Waalwijk on Sunday. Nouha Dicko gave Vitesse the lead, but Clint Leemans equalized from the penalty spot after Julian Lelieveld had fouled Stanley Elbers. Vitesse defender Lelieveld was sent off with a red card. With ten against eleven Vitesse captured the win after Oussama Tannane converted a penalty.

After a 1-0 defeat against Rangers in the Europa League, a 3-3 draw at FC Emmen and a 3-0 home loss against AZ Feyenoord needed a win at home against FC Twente on Sunday and got a convincing victory: 5-1. Steven Berghuis scored first, Aitor Cantalapiedra equalized after a dreadful mistake by Jens Toornstra, but Sam Larsson put Feyenoord in front again and an own goal by Peet Bijen, Luis Sinisterra and Larsson again scored in the second half.
