BOGOTA, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez and Galatasaray striker Radamel Falcao have been left out of Colombia's squad for friendlies against Chile and Algeria.

Both players missed Colombia's friendly draws with Brazil (2-2) and Venezuela (0-0) in September because of leg muscle injuries but have since returned to action for their respective clubs.

Colombia head coach Carlos Queiroz had named the pair in a preliminary 37-man list on September 18.

In a short video posted on the Colombian Football Federation's website on Tuesday, Queiroz gave no reason for the omission of James and Falcao but said those included in the 24-man squad comprised "75%" of his future plans.

The Portuguese manager named three uncapped players: Girona defender Johan Mojica, America midfielder Andres Ibarguen and Feyenoord forward Luis Sinisterra.

Colombia will face Chile in Alicante, Spain, on October 12 and Algeria in Lille, France, three days later.

Goalkeepers: David Ospina (Napoli), Camilo Vargas (Atlas), Aldair Quintana (Atletico Nacional), Eder Chaux (Patriotas).

Defenders: Luis Orejuela (Cruzeiro), Stefan Medina, Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham), Oscar Murillo (Pachuca), Yerry Mina (Everton), Jhon Lucumi (Genk), William Tesillo (Leon), Johan Mojica (Girona).

Midfielders: Wilmar Barrios (Zenit), Juan Guillermo Cuadrado (Juventus), Jefferson Lerma (Bournemouth), Mateus Uribe (Porto), Yairo Moreno (Leon), Andres Ibarguen (America).

Forwards: Luis Muriel (Atalanta), Luis Sinisterra (Feyenoord), Roger Martinez (America), Luis Diaz (Porto), Duvan Zapata (Atalanta), Alfredo Morelos (Rangers).
