Chinese volleyball star Zhu Ting confirmed Tuesday to join Tianjin in the new season.
TIANJIN, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Zhu Ting, captain of China's women's volleyball team, said on Tuesday she will join the Tianjin women's volleyball club in the new season via social media.
Zhu said everything is going well in 2019 as her team have won a ticket to 2020 Tokyo Olympics and successfully won the FIVB Women's World Cup on Sept. 29.
"We still need to achieve more goals. For me, Tianjin is the next stop. I hope to gain something after hard work," Zhu said.

As a star spiker among the world volleyball players, Zhu's whereabouts has gained much attention, since she parted ways with Turkish club VakifBank Istanbul in May.
Tianjin women's volleyball club, sponsored by Bohai Bank, announced Zhu's joining on the same day and said she will participate in the 2019-2020 Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League and 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship as a team member of Tianjin.
The club has won 11 golds in the Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League and now has three Team China players Yao Di, Li Yingying and Wang Yuanyuan. Zhu's joining can improve the national team members' cooperation for preparing the Tokyo Olympics.

Tianjin coach Chen Youquan said that Zhu will be able to strengthen the club and help young players improve their abilities.
"Our club is not only eager to achieve better performance in the league, but also to make a breakthrough in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship," Chen said. ■
