Kenya faces Indonesia in Davis Cup tennis

NAIROBI, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will travel to Indonesia for the 2020 Davis Cup World Group II Play-off after the draw was conducted in London on Thursday.

Earlier, Kenya and Tunisia earned promotion to Davis Cup Euro/Africa Group II after a week-long tournament in Nairobi in September. Tunisia will now play against Guatemala.

"These ties will be played at the same time as the 2020 Davis Cup qualifiers on March 6-7, making a total of 36 Davis Cup ties played in 36 cities around the world that weekend," International Tennis Federation (ITF) said on Thursday.

Group II competition will have African teams of Kenya and Tunisia, European nations of Poland, Estonia and Greece, as well as El Salvador, Paraguay and Guatemala from the Americas, the Philippines, Indonesia, and China SAR Hong Kong, from Asia/Oceania and Zimbabwe, Bulgaria, Denmark, Morocco, Egypt and Georgia from Europe/Africa.
