LONDON, Oct. 4(Xinhua) -- The second edition of FINA Champions Swim Series will be held in two Chinese cities Shenzhen and Beijing next year, announced FINA in a statement released on Friday.
The 2020 Champions Swim Series will comprise two legs. The first leg will take place in Shenzhen on January 14 to 15, while the second meet will be staged in Beijing on January 18 to 19. Olympic and World Championships medallists, World Cup stars, world records holders and top-ranked swimmers in the world ranking will be invited to the competition.
The inaugural edition of the competition this year included three meets in Guangzhou, Budapest and Indianapolis with a total of 110 top swimmers competing.
The 2020 Series will include 28 individual events and two relays over two days of competition. As the formula this year, there will be only finals with four athletes or teams in each race.
