MACAO, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- The 4th International Film Festival and Awards Macao (IFFAM) is to be staged from Dec. 5-10 in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) this year, organizers have said.
As an annual international event in Macao, the film festival continues to push forward the development of global film, cultural and creative industries, and enhance exchange opportunities between the industry insiders, the IFFAM organizing committee said on Friday.
Chinese actress Carina Lau and South Korean singer Suho were appointed as Talent Ambassadors of the festival.
Chinese director Peter Chan will be Jury President of the competition. Chinese director Wang Xiaoshuai, South Korean director Kim Yong-Hwa and Indian director Karan Johar will be Festival Ambassadors.
The film festival is committed to becoming a major gathering for international filmmakers to enhance cultural exchange, while putting forward Asian film talent and film works onto the global stage, organizers said.
