KOLKATA, Oct. 5, 2019 (Xinhua) -- India's Surul town has been adorned with lights, food and laughter among families for the annual celebrations of Durga Puja, one of the major festivals of Hinduism.

The celebrations run from Oct. 4 to Oct. 8 as people worship the motherly power of Goddess Durga.
