CHICAGO, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures settled higher on Friday morning, with soybean futures rising on trade optimism and lower yield estimate by a U.S. governmental crop report.

As of 1530 GMT, the most active corn contract for December delivery was up 12.25 cents to 3.925 U.S. dollars per bushel. December wheat was up 13.25 cents to 5.0625 dollars per bushel. November soybeans were up 9.75 cents to 9.3325 dollars per bushel.

Soybean futures rose as traders are awaiting more information about the trade talks underway in Washington between China and the United States.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in its monthly supply and demand report released on Thursday, reduced its soybean yield estimate to 46.9 bushels per acre from 47.9 bushels last month. Analysts were expecting 47.3 bushels.

Corn futures went up on bargain buying, short covering, and wheat futures were supported by gains in corn as well as short covering. Enditem
