BRATISLAVA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Inter Bratislava basketball club dominates the new season of the Slovak Basketball league with four wins from as many matches.

The team from the capital played their third match in four days but showed little sign of fatigue, triumphing 81-66 over Lucenec on Saturday, profiting mostly from offensive rebounds and second chances.

Zilina triumphed in their second match of the season, edging out Svit 92-81. The home team washed over their opponents like a wave, dominating by 24 points at half-time. The visitors tried to mount a comeback in the third period which they won by 13 points, led by the Serbian-born Sasa Avramovic, who finished the night with 25 points, but Zilina refused to buckle. Their starting five proved crucial to their success, with four players scoring double-digits.

The third-round clash between Prievidza and Komarno offered an attractive rematch from last year's quarterfinals. Komarno started trailing early in the game, as the team from the south of Slovakia suffered the absence of their Slovenian point guard duo Boban Tomic and Nino Gabrijel. Prievidza dominated throughout the match and crushed their opponent 101-73. Deondre Ray led Komarno's scoring with 25 points.

Elsewhere, Handlova disappointed their fans in their first home game of the season, losing 90-78 to the Levice Patriots. After a close first half, Handlova got ahead in the third period thanks to the Bosnian-born Aleksandar Radukic, who ended the night with 29 points. However, they totally botched the final ten minutes and Levice took home their first victory of the season.
