ZHENGZHOU, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Erlitou Relic Museum, which exhibits the history of ancient China's first recorded dynasty of Xia (2070-1600 B.C.), is set to open on Saturday in central China's Henan Province, local authorities said.

Located in the city of Luoyang, the museum covers an area of 32,000 square meters and exhibits the history and culture of the dynasty as well as significant archaeological findings.

Discovered in 1959 in Luoyang, Erlitou was identified by Chinese archaeologists as the relics of the capital city of the middle and late Xia Dynasty. Palace buildings, city roads and bronze wares have been found over recent years at the site.
