BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu, the 11th Panchen Lama, on Tuesday presented the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee with a large Thangka painting in Beijing.
Entrusted by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, received the Thangka painting.
The 11th Panchen Lama and Tashilhunpo Monastery presented the painting on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The painting, depicting the scene of the Panchen Lama presenting Xi with a hada scarf, expresses their resolute support to the CPC, the heartfelt love for the people's leader and the love for the motherland.
