BEIRUT, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri warned on Wednesday that Lebanon is about to go into chaos if officials do not approve the 2020 budget, Al Joumhouria local newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Berri urged officials to send the 2020 budget to the parliament within the constitutional time limit because the economic situation has become extremely sensitive.
He said that Israel is taking advantage of the political bickering among different political parties in Lebanon by "occupying 15 meters inside Lebanese territories in Al Wazzani area."
The economic situation in Lebanon has reached an unprecedented level of deterioration with the government being incapable of agreeing on the different items in the 2020 budget due to the different political parties represented in the cabinet.
