RAWALPINDI, Oct. 17, 2019 (Xinhua) -- The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty was observed on Thursday in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This year marks the 27th anniversary of the declaration by the UN General Assembly and the theme is "Acting together to empower children, their families and communities to end poverty."
