ABUJA, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed after a lorry lost control in Nigeria's southern state of Anambra early Friday.

The local road safety police said two others sustained injuries in the accident along Nteje-Onitsha expressway of the state.

The lorry somersaulted after losing control, said Andrew Kumapayi, head of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra.

Kumapayi appealed to drivers to always be cautious especially when at high speed or about to overtake other vehicles ahead of them so as to prevent unfortunate accidents.

Deadly road accidents are frequently reported in Nigeria often caused by overloading, bad condition of roads and reckless driving.
