LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- A multi-room, sensory-rich pop-up museum has been opened in Los Angeles, running from Sept. 20 to Oct. 20 to celebrate Hello Kitty's 45th anniversary.

The 10,000-square-foot pop-up, named "Hello Kitty Friends Around the World Tour," takes visitors on a journey to London, Paris, New York, Honolulu and Tokyo.

The museum consists of five rooms, each dedicated to a unique destination special to Hello Kitty, where guests receive a travel stamp for their commemorative passport. There are playful interaction and sensory experience at each destination, in which fans can see, hear, touch, smell and feel Hello Kitty's world.

"The pop-up is in celebration of the supercute Sanrio mascot's 45th anniversary," brand ambassador Alexia Mangual told Xinhua.

She said Los Angeles is the first stop of the exhibition in the United States. During the month, about 300 guests visited the pop-up every day.

Since its debut in Japan in 1974, Hello Kitty has inspired generations of people around the world with her positive message of friendship and kindness.
