OTTAWA, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- A China-Canada co-produced dance drama named Search is put on stage in the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa Sunday afternoon to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and 49th anniversary of establishment of China-Canada diplomatic relationship.

The dance drama shows that a Chinese couple, the inheritors of Wu School of Painting, lost their new-born baby child Su Fei carelessly when sketching. Discovered and sent to a local orphanage, the baby girl was later adopted by a Canadian couple and brought to Canada, but finally the family reunited.

It vividly tells a touching story of friendship between Chinese and Canadian people in artistic language. All dancers are from both Canada and China.

It is choreographed Peter Quanz, an award-winning Canadian choreographer known for his groundbreaking choreographic collaborations in dance, in music, and in visual art. It is produced by Chinese Wuxi Song and Dance Theater,

The drama is co-organized by Halifax Chinese Festival Organization Committee and Atlantic StarBlaze Event Planning Studio with the support of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas and the Chinese embassy.
