CHINA-JIANGXI-JINGDEZHEN-ANCIENT STAGE-REVITALIZATION (CN)

A woman watches traditional performances at Wuwang Temple in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province, Oct. 19, 2019. Wuwang Temple is an ancient stage in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province. Built in the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the early Qing Dynasty (1616-1911), it decayed as time passed by and was finally out of use. In an effort to explore the history and culture of Jingdezhen, the local government repaired the temple and finally recovered its ancient appearance. Right now it has become an attractive cultural site for residents and tourists to taste traditional culture with a variety of cultural performances, such as traditional operas and comic dialogues staged here every night.
