WINDHOEK, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Cricket coach, Pierre De Bruyn, Monday admitted that their first two games in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifiers underway in Dubai have not gone according to plan.

Namibia lost their two opening pool matches, against the Netherlands and Papua New Guinea (PNG).

"Obviously it's disappointing to lose games in that manner. We are a better side than that," he said Monday, in a voice statement released by Cricket Namibia, adding that his team has also learned some lessons which hopefully they will use to their advantage.

De Bruyn said for their next match on Tuesday against Scotland, the Namibian batters will surely step up their game.

"We have a lot of talent and ability in our batting unity and hopefully one player will rise to the occasion and spark off the batting innings for the other players," he added.

De Bruyn, meanwhile believes that there is still a lot of cricket to be played in the tournament, having played only two games out of six.

"We look forward to tomorrow's match and we will do our best," he concluded.

Namibia is currently at the bottom of Group B on zero points from two matches, while the Netherlands, PNG, and Singapore are the early leaders on four points each.
