JIANYANG, Oct. 26, 2019 (Xinhua) -- The third Jian Kiln Jianzhan Tea Cup Cultural Expo kicked off in Jianyang on Friday in Jianyang District of Nanping City, southeast China's Fujian Province. Porcelain artists and exhibitors from both home and abroad participated in the event.

Jian Kiln, famous for its black glazed porcelain cups, is one of China's well-known ancient kilns with a history of more than one thousand years. Its site is located in Shuiji town, Jianyang district.

In recent years, the region has given full play to the historical and cultural advantages of kilns and developed the industry. Up to now, the region has registered more than 2,800 relevant enterprises and self-employed households, with more than 20,000 employees.
