CHANGSHA, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- China Southern Airlines launched a direct air route linking Changsha City, the capital of central China's Hunan Province, and Macao on Sunday.
The air route is operated by the Airbus A320 aircraft, with a round trip scheduled every day. The Changsha to Macao flight departs at 8:15 p.m. and arrives at 9:55 p.m. in Macao. The return flight departs at 11:00 p.m. and arrives at 00:35 a.m. the next day.
The route is launched to strengthen the cooperation between the province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said Yang Bin, general manager of China Southern Airlines Hunan Branch.
Hunan's export to Macao reached 47.14 million U.S. dollars in 2018, up 20.8 percent year on year. As an important source of investment and trade partner of Hunan, Macao invested 68.57 million U.S. dollars in the province in 2018, up 99.74 percent year on year.
