MANAMA, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Monday inaugurated the second edition of the Bahrain International Defense Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC), according to the official BNA news agency.
BIDEC, which takes place from Oct. 28 to 30 under the auspices of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, attracted over 200 companies, showing the latest defense technology and innovation.
The crown prince said the security challenges call for concerted efforts to continue to develop the use of modern technology in the military.
"Bahrain will continue to work alongside its international partners to strengthen regional and global security, recognizing that these partnerships continue to enhance Bahrain Defense Force's combat readiness," he said in a speech.
